Kurt Busch won the rain-shortened Quicken Loans 400 from Michigan International Speedway on Sunday afternoon.

Busch won a race that was delayed four times for rain during the shortened event.  Busch said the win was a testament to his team’s chemistry.

“It’s amazing when you have team chemistry at the level that we do,” Busch said.  “[Crew chief] Tony Gibson led these guys through a backup car and the pit crew was there giving their best.”

Busch was running second for a late-race restart, but leader Kyle Larson ran out of gas just three laps before the rain came for the final time.  Busch took the lead on lap 132 and never looked back on the way to his second victory of 2015.

“It’s an unbelievable feeling knowing what we went through, paced ourselves and found the lead towards the latter part of the race; and then the rain came in,” Busch said.  “Tony Gibson makes these guys work a little extra hard.  I always say thanks, I’m always there early with them, and it’s a great team chemistry feel.”
