Kenseth had one of the fastest cars throughout the
race, but it was Kevin Harvick who dominated all afternoon. Harvick led a race-high 216 laps before
running out of fuel with three laps to go.
Kenseth said he didn’t think he could beat Harvick’s fast car before it
ran out of fuel.
“I was giving Kevin everything I had,” Kenseth
said. “I just thought he was going to
beat us. He had the best car today. I guess he was just a little short on fuel.”
Kenseth is now locked into the second round of the
Chase following his victory. He said
going into Dover already locked into the Contender Round won’t change the way
his team approaches next week’s race.
“It doesn’t change, I thought a little about it
today,” Kenseth said. “These things are
just too hard to win. We’ll go [to
Dover] and bring our good stuff and try to win.”
“It’s been awesome, I think we’ve got some more
coming.”
